Shawn's 3rd Birthday Party - Thomas The Tank Engine

My brother, Roger, and his wife, Jheng, together with their children, Nina, Yayi and Shawn visited us this summer from Ohio.  It was a long drive from their home, but we finally got a chance to get together again.  We actually celebrated Shawn's 3rd Birthday here at my backyard.

My Mom's 69th Birthday

June 23, 2011 was my mom's birthday.  She is 69 years old.  Of course, she does not look like her age.  She looks young and pretty for her age :).  Anyway, we celebrated it with family.  We BBQ'd and cooked home good food.   My family was not complete, but at the end it was a success.  My mom was happy.  I made my first version of Strawberries covered with belgium chocolate.

About Me

I created this website in order for me to document my creative journey.  Well, I don't really have a talent, but I'm learning.  This is my way to keep me occupied and hopefully forget the pain I'm going through losing my dearest husband, John.   It is more than a year already when my husband died.   He died on March 2, 2010.  The pain is still unbearable.  I do thank God I have the support from my family and friends, but at the end of the day, I still feel empty.   I miss my husband so terrible, so I'm trying to focus and help myself by trying to keep myself busy.  I started throwing party for my family.   Instead of just buying decorations, I have decided to do DIY.   It actually started when I threw a Baby Shower for my son and his girlfriend.  Then the rest follows.

2010 Holidays

ThanksGiving, Christmas and New Year were not the same without my husband.   It was very sad, but we tried our best to celebrate and commerate our family traditions.  Every holidays, my husband and I would cook and decorate for these special holidays. The last holiday that we cooked together was ThanksGiving in 2009.  This was the first...and the last holiday that we also baked our pies.   I will never forget it and I will always treasure it for the rest of my life.  I love you honey.  Until we meet again.

All I can say is that I could not make it without my families (both side of my family and my husband family).   Their support and love made me cope with the pain and sorrow.
