My family and I celebrated our New Year with a big bang this year. 2012 is going to be the best year ever for ALL of us. Good health, good life, happiness and prosperous 2012!

I decided to make our center table with lots of sweets. The theme I created was snowman. I created cupcakes with snowman. As you can see, this was my own version of cupcake snowman. My own DIY cupcake snowman.  I also created my very first version of cake pops. It was not perfect, but I knew that I will get better the next time I create another cake pops.

I also added different fruits on the table.   I followed our Philippines traditions to put 12 kinds of fruits on the table for the coming year. According to my mom, the 12 different fruits represent prosperous New Year. The different sweet desserts on the table came from my husband. It was our tradition and will always be part of our traditions since my husband loved sweets.

We also has our very own Chef Bobby (my brother). He cooked different food that were absolutely delicious. We also had our very own DJ Archie (my brother).  All in all, our 2012 are the best year yet!!!

The Girls First Going Away VAcation

January 28th, Saturday the girls (Irma, Evelyn, Vicky and I) decided to go to Massachusetts. It was our very first Girls weekends mini vacation. It was definitely an adventure since the three of us are widowers accompanied by our only one married girl. It was also a celebration of my birthday and Vicky. Irma was kind enough to invite us to her timeshare. This was the very first birthday I celebrated away from home. I was glad since I actually forgot how it feels to celebrate it. I laughed so much with them. I also cried since I dreamt about my husband. I just felt so bad since I did not want them to hear me since I don't want them to open their wounds. If there is a next time, I will try to do my very best not to cry again.

I'm getting closer with these girls because they can relate to me. They giving me advice that I do value.

To my beloved husband - You are always in my heart

Not a single day goes by without me thinking of you. I miss your voice, your soft skin, your eyes, your smiles, your jokes, your advices, your home good meal, and your love. I see you and feel you in my dreams and it feels so real. Yet when I wake up I don’t recall every details, but I just remember the good memories.
Time will heal me as what they tell me, but the pain gets stronger especially on holidays, birthdays and anniversaries.

I miss you and I Love you so very much.

Christmas 2011

Another Christmas year. Once again, thank you for all my families for making this Christmas a happy one. We celebrated the Christmas of 2011 with love. I know my husband was watching from heaven above. My families got together and cooked our traditional food just the way my husband used to prepare it. Erica cooked lasagna and sweet potato. Fuko fried a Turkey. I cooked penil and sweet ham. Andrea cooked her famous spanish rice and pulpo salad. My mom cooked lumpia and pansit. She also made potato salad and fruit cocktail. Archie cooked fried porks. My brother Roger, Jheng, Yayi, Nina and Shawn celebrated Christmas with us. My brother-in-law, Frankie was here together with hipag Vickie, Frankie Jr, Sunshine and Saphire. I know my husband was happy about it. My cousin, Ate Eva and Tony celebrated Christmas with us as well.
